Amy Lynn Hartzler, known by her stage name Amy Lee, is an American singer, songwriter and pianist. She is the co-founder and lead singer of rock band Evanescence. In addition to his contributions to the group, Lee has also been involved in other musical projects including Nightmare Revisited and Muppets: The Green Album from Walt Disney Records. She has collaborated with artists like Korn, Seether and David Hodges. Lee wrote the soundtrack for the films War Story and Indigo Gray: The Passage with cellist Dave Eggar, and the song "Speak to Me" for the film Voice from the Stone. She has a soprano voice. Lee received the Music Publisher Icon Award in 2008 by the National Music Publisher Association. In 2012, she won Best Singer at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards and was also named Rock Goddess of the Year at the Loudwire Music Awards. She received Best Film Score from the Moondance International Film Festival for Indigo Gray: The Passage in 2015
